“My daughter Carey attended the kid’s cooking class at noon on Sunday, and I’m the guy who hung out in the back of the classroom. I just wanted to send a quick note to tell you how fantastic we both thought the class was. You not only engaged in a great way with the kids, but you were really well-prepared and you taught the kids a lot about science and the science of cooking. I’m not sure how much science actually sunk in, but I could tell that the kids were having a great time and getting a much better appreciation of what goes into preparing a meal. Personally, I thought it was one of the most interesting two hours I have spent in a long time. I appreciate very much your letting me stay, and I appreciate your making this kind of experience available to the local kids. You have a lot going on at the restaurant, so I appreciated your taking the time out for just a handful of kids.”
Four of us celebrating a birthday had a fantastic meal. Our waiter hit the right note, was knowledgable and friendly. Wine list is fantastic. Food was outstanding, probably the best restaurant in Vail.
The atmosphere was very nice with great food and service. We had the pumpkin ravioli and veal scallopini in which both were great. Would definitely go back when we return to Vail to go skiing.
We have been coming to the Vail area for 20 years. Started coming to Larkspur for the New Years dinners and haven’t stopped coming to dine here at least one time while we are in town. Food and service has been consistently delicious. Larkspur is one of our favorites.
Attended a hosted event at the Larkspur and everything about it was wonderful – great ambiance, great service, great wine selection, and great food. Would definitely recommend very highly to others.
Definitely the overall best restaurant in Vail. Innovative food, that is hard to find within 1000 miles. Very professional waiters see to your every need with just a nod. The wine list is outstanding, but could use a few more value/less expensive wines. The other top restaurants could take lessons from this great dining spot.

Did the tasting menu and added a special request foie gras course as well. The server was fantastic and the food was delicious, generous, and beautifully presented. Overall great meal.
Excellent food, excellent wine list, excellent service. For a party of 5, the booth/oval table configuration along the side wall was great for conversation. My favorite in Vail.
My husband and I just returned from a week in Vail, and our dinner at Larkspur was a highlight of a great trip. The food was wonderful and the service impeccable – and warm. We are “foodies” and were happily surprised by the quality and originality of the menu. Larkspur deserves every point of its Zagat’s rating.
